USF SWE
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a student–run organization at the University of South Florida. SWE is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders.
Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities, and much more.
Our mission at USF:
Stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrating the value of diversity.

5K Fun Run
Our main purpose in hosting this event is to continue to provide support and inspiration to women pursuing an education in engineering. This race will also aim to motivate youth with an interest in STEM to become our next generation of engineers, doctors, mathematicians, and so much more. All proceeds from this event help fund other events that aim to engage our next-generation of STEM leaders and continue to encourage students currently pursuing STEM!
